The space

Traditional stone-inspired stay in the peaceful village of Friligianika, Kythira. Courtyard living, sunset views & authentic island atmosphere.

The house is perfect for either a family holiday or a couple wanting to get away from it all. It is fully self contained with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms , and a air-conditioned living area complete with a kitchen with marble benchtops, a dining area  and a lounge area with a sofas and tv, leading through to a large terrace.

Bedrooms

The main bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobes, an en-suite, . The other bedrooms with a bunk bed, and built in wardrobes.

Kitchen

The modern kitchen is complete with everything you need for your holiday, including an oven, a stovetop, a microwave, pots and pans, and all utensils. Perfect for creating a mezes for 2, or a full Greek feast from local products for the whole family.

Terrace

The large terrace is set up for al-fresco dining with an extra large table and chairs, but is also the perfect place to relax with a book,

Children

The house is also perfect for children, it is remote enough for them to make as much noise as they want without fear of upsetting any nieghbours.

    In the heart of nature we found ourselves in a picturesque house full of traditional hints and cinematic aesthetics. The house was perfectly clean, equipped and organized. The beds and... read more pillows are really comfortable and without doubt we had a great sleep. The house doesn’t have A/C but we never felt the need for it as the house’s temperature is mostly cool and breezy.
  George was the best host we could have imagined. Always extra helpful and responsive whenever we needed him. He also gave us the best guidance for locations, food and many more insights of the island. An eco-friendly experience worth visiting all over again!
  Highly recommended! You will definitely need a car as everything is about 15-35 mins away but it never felt long as the road is enjoyable and makes you think you live in the middle of nature’s heart. Thanks George for everything! Our wholistic island experience was definitely enhanced by our stay at Mantalas house. See you soon for sure!

El equipamiento, la limpieza,... read more el estado de conservación, todo, en perfecto estado. El entorno es sencillamente maravilloso si lo que se va buscando es máxima tranquilidad. Alrededor de la casa, ascendiendo a través de los olivares, se pueden hacer unas caminatas de una belleza simplemente espectacular.
  El anfitrión es extraordinario, se desvive por informar acerca de la isla y ayudar en lo que surja. Nosotros tuvimos una contrariedad que nos indujo a cambiar de casa (algo fortuito) y Georgios nos asistió con una rapidez y eficacia inmejorables.

The house is 20 minutes from Livadi but we found it to be a perfect base for day trips on the island. The house is small but newly remodeled, thoughtfully decorated, clean and comfortable. George is an excellent host and welcomed us warmly. He took the time to show us around and make recommendations for places to visit. It was clear that he has a strong appreciation for the island and a desire to share it with others. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.

    If you want a gorgeous house, out in the nature with the best sunset on the island, this is your shot!
  
  The drive there takes you through the hills,... read more so it is beautifully secluded and the view is spectacular. Don’t worry about getting there: Georgios guides you there the first time.
  
  The house is very functional, everything needed is provided (stove, oven, fridge, freezer). Since there’s no air conditioning, there’s two large fans. We were there during summer, and the temperature was fine with the fans. But I guess that’s a bit personal too.
  Also, there’s mosquito nets on every door and window, so the place gets free from mosquitos, flies and (of course) the island bees.
  
  Georgios was a great help when we had questions. He was easily available and always ready to help.
  
  All in all, we had one of the best experiences we’ve had with Airbnb so far. If you love being secluded, with only nature surrounding you: this is it!
